アン・ランゲージ・スクール AN LANGUAGE SCHOOL

The study of An Language School

The class for learners

The main character of the class room is learners themselves! It would be very difficult to remember the words if learners think that they do not needs to learn them. An Language School teaches Japanese based on students’ needs, so students are able to learn while they always concentrate on their purposes. To do so, we adopt the method, called “Notional Syllabus”.

Task Based Learning

When we use the language, there would be the purposes of communication. To achieve the purposes, we communicate verbally or nonverbally. An Language School teaches Japanese that an overseas students will practically use in their lives, such as “apartment searching”, “planning for travel”, “participation of events”, “visiting universities” and “presentations”. Therefore the lesson that students learn will be able to help them in their life of Japan.

Group lesson

student

Students learn a lot not only from teachers, but also their classmates. The knowledge that students learn from classmates is various, such as Japanese grammar and the customs of other countries. We incorporate group practices into a lesson a lot to encourage mutual learning among students. The example of group practices are role playing game and presentations of students’ mother nation cultures.

Practical drills and practices

For beginners it is not easy to speak or write foreign languages while paying attention to grammar and pronunciation. For beginner class, words and grammars that we teach are chosen from the contents of Japanese Language Proficiency Test Level 4 or 5.
